Summer Family Workshop Wednesday 5th August

09:00 – 13:00

Come and join Lydia, our artistic instructor for an exciting family workshop during which we will venture into the natural landscape in the grounds of the nursery, learn about the trees and plants which grow there, and use them to make some beautiful art works which will be yours to take home.

Nursery owner Billy will share his knowledge about his plants, the woods, and our resident bees.

We will also learn how to build a campfire and toast some marshmallows.

Lydia has 2+ years of experience in arts teaching, having worked with museums, galleries, schools and local development groups to deliver a range of activities for all ages. She is also a Cub Scout leader and has taught countless children to light fires safely.

This workshop is aimed at families with children between 6 and 14 years of age, and the activities are suitable for ages 6 and up – so adults need to get involved! We encourage families to work together throughout the day, using it as an opportunity to learn and have fun together. For safety reasons, all attending children must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult over 18 years of age.

All materials and equipment are provided, we just ask that you please wear old clothes as you might get dirty and messy during the activities. Please also wear suitable outdoor footwear – NO open-toed sandals. You will be required to fill out a form prior to attendance to ensure we are aware of any medical issues. Please arrive promptly to ensure we get started on time.
Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day at no extra cost.
