Willow Obelisk Making
Join nursery owner Billy for a workshop learning how to make your own willow obelisk plant support, which you will get to take home! This support is great for climbing plants, such as sweet peas.
You will learn about the types of willow and how they grow, have a short demonstration on starting your obelisk, then get stuck in and start making your own. You’ll learn how to manipulate the willow by hand to form the shapes required, and finish your design with woven details.
This workshop will be inside and outside, so please dress accordingly. All materials and tools will be provided.
Willow Cloche Plant Supports
Make your own willow cloche plant support, to stop your plants from falling over in the border!
Give your plants some natural support as they grow. In this workshop you will learn about different varieties of willow, how to harvest and prepare willow for weaving and then get stuck into making your own cloche, with full tuition from one of our instructors.

Flower Crown Making
Learn how to make your own beautiful willow-based flower crown!
Whether you’re looking for a sustainable accessory for festival season, a chic and natural DIY wedding headpiece, or simply something fun for the weekend, this workshop will give you the skills you need to replicate fantastic flower crowns time after time, and one to take home with you on the day.
You’ll learn about different types of willow, and how to prepare it for weaving, you’ll then cut your willow and learn to weave your crown base. Then you’ll decorate it with your own choice of seasonal flowers and foliage. Everything you make is yours to take home, and your willow base will be reusable for years to come.

All the materials are included, and throughout the workshop you will be taken through the design and creation process by Billy, our resident horticultural hero.
