Creative Arts at BackWoods

Explore a range of creative arts activities in our purpose-built classroom at the beautiful Stott’s Nursery site.

With a focus on the natural landscape and engaging in the immediate surroundings of the Nursery, we offer a range of creative sessions across sculpture, drawing, collage and print; you can dip your toes into techniques such as botanical casting, mod-roc modelling, linocut printing and charcoal drawing. These can be booked as one-off private group workshops, or make a fantastic addition to your stag or hen day booking. Please contact us for more information and pricing.

In Summer 2020 we are running two exciting family focused workshops, during which we will venture into the natural landscape in the grounds of the nursery, learn about the trees and plants which grow there, and use them in some weird and wonderful artistic activities. There will also be the chance to build a campfire and toast some marshmallows.

Lydia is our resident artistic instructor who has 2+ years of experience in arts teaching, having worked with museums, galleries, schools and local development groups to deliver a range of activities for all ages.
