Botanical Plaster Casting – Sunday 20th September 2026

Learn the art of botanical casting using a basic and highly effective mould-making technique with just clay, plants and plaster of paris.  This art form can be used to create larger decorative pieces, but at this time of year you may wish to create several smaller pieces to use as Christmas tree decorations.  You will get to peruse and select botanical material from our beautiful site on the day, but if you have any particular plants or flowers you wish to cast, please do bring them along.

Aprons, gloves and dust masks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you wish to.

All materials and equipment are provided, along with free tea and coffee.

n.b. You can take away any casts that are dry on the day, but if some are still wet, we will store them safely for you to collect at a later date.
