Plant Propagation
Fancy increasing some of your favourite garden plants?
On our plant propagation workshops you will learn how to propagate plants for all seasons using a variety of methods, including: division, softwood, semi-ripe and hardwood cuttings and seed sowing.
On top of this, you will learn about different tools, propagation structures and composts. You’ll also get to take some of your sown seeds and cuttings home with you!
Our propagation workshops change every season to make sure you can get the most of your plants, regardless of the weather!
Pruning Shrubs in Spring
Breathe new life into shrubs in your garden
Pruning shrubs can feel daunting, but this workshop aims to give you the confidence to have a go yourself. On this workshop you will learn about why and when to prune, the range of shrubs which can be pruned in spring and the methods involved to keep your plants healthy and in good shape.
We will go out into the nursery garden for a practical demonstration, then you will get hands on and have a go at pruning some of our shrubs, all with expert tuition.
Nursery owner Billy Stott will be running this marvellous workshop, sharing knowledge from his 12+ years in the horticulture industry.
