Willow Christmas Decorations, Beeswax Candles and Block Printing – Saturday 14th November 2026

Join us for ‘Willow and Wicks’, a day of festive, hands-on crafting filled with weaving willow Christmas decorations, creating your own beeswax candle and Indian block printing.

The morning will be with Billy from BackWoods learning about preparing willow for weaving and how to work with it. Then you’ll be guided step by step through how to make your own stars, a reindeer and Christmas tree.

Bring your own packed lunch and choose whether to eat in our beautiful woodland plant nursery, or inside the workshop next to the cosy logburner.

The afternoon session is with our friend Toni from Easley Does It. You will make a pair of rolled beeswax candles, with a choice of natural dried fruit and flower decorations. You will then learn how to Indian block print onto wrapping paper, a card and gift tag, giving you beautiful handmade wrapping material for your candles.

All materials and equipment are provided, along with free tea and coffee, however you will need to bring your own packed lunch.

Please note that this workshop requires manipulation of willow using your hands which may be an issue for participants with arthritis or similar conditions.
